A Great Malbec Reserve from Uco Valley in Mendoza
"+(+)Bodega Estancia Mendoza Malbec Reserve 2024, Mendoza, Argentina. Quite dark purple in color, and clear. A balanced, well-crafted nose. In two different glasses, creates an unusual set of bubbles that line the glass and flow down as tiny, sand-grain sized pockets or bubble clusters -- an unusual example of tears of wine. This wine is notably well-made, with good oak, well-harvested, and expertly blended and aged. Both fruit tannins and oak are apparent, as is sufficient sugar and acidity for structure and balance. The mouth feel is very substantial, as is the finish, which ends modestly tanic, fruity, and lightly sweet. Very pleasant, and good to age for 4-5 years."
