Pleasant fruitiness, almost to an excess, but not familiar enough to enjoy without question. Something expressing itself that one would not typically associate with either Syrah or Grenache, especially from Southern France. Not sure it was a flavor profile to which I would return.

This one is fast becoming my go-to for any meaty red-sauce dish, whether it's baked Italian sausages with peppers and mushrooms, penne and meatballs, or a supreme pizza. It works every time! (Trust the Wine Insiders tasting notes. ??)
