Take one sip of our 2018 Vespertine Red Blend, and you’ll find a brimming bouquet of juicy dark fruits like blackberries, plums, and blueberries. Dig a little deeper, and you’ll discover subtle hints of earthiness like dark chocolate, cedar, and nutmeg. This red blend is rich in complexity and structure on the palate, with medium acidity and firm tannins. This red blend from Vespertine Vintners originates from the sun-drenched vineyards of Central California. Winemakers harvested the juicy red grapes at prime ripeness to coax out signature complexity and acidity while providing a prolonged maceration period for optimal tannin levels. Their methods can be enjoyed in every sip of this 2018 Vespertine, garnering the red blend a 94-point platinum medal in the 2022 Critics Challenge Wine Competition. If you’re seeking an excellent pairing for this 2018 Vespertine Red Blend, look towards meaty options like grilled pork sausages or tacos al pastor or a vegetarian-friendly pairing like mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy.

      Fruity and enjoyable

This was a rather fruity wine with hints of soil and oak and I found it imminently drinkable. For the price, I'd say it's definitely worth a try.

It is drinkable but not repeatable. There are better red blends available here.
