"VERY disappointed with my 13 bottles purchased @ $8. 50 each 50% sale) of the 2021 vintage, Once upon a time a wine insider fav but so watered down, no flavor or alcohol, basically flat and stale! (thanks covid 19 and corp greed wine insider price hikes) The one bottle 2024 vintage i tried was better and not stale but still a very weak medium bodied red wine. No more italian wines! I will stick with the USA, Bogle-Beringer-Mondavi bulk wines, ave retail $6. 99 (or woodbridge merlot, cabernet 1. 5L $6. 99) with my 20% binny beverage buy-12 discount I get down to the low $5 (no shipping hassles) for USA AMERICAN GREAT WINES! (where wine insiders corp HQ is located in CA) So FYI skip the foreign watered down + tariff, anti american cheap wines!! (w/ some bordeaux, spanish, argentine exceptions under $5/bottle)"

"++Maremma Toscana DOC, 2021, Cala de Poeti. Clear, ruby purple color. Rich, pungent ripe fruit nose: cherry and ripe plum. Deep, full body, with very big fruit and lots of depth. Maybe not a ton of tannins, but see how long it will age. At any rate, great right now, in March 2026. Just a touch of what I've come to recognize as warm weather character, perhaps a bit over-ripe."
