This 2021 Cala De' Poeti Sangiovese from the Puglia region of Italy is art-inspired and crafted from quality that begins in the vineyard. Sangiovese grapes are cultivated from whitewashed hill towns in the boot of Italy, where the sun and rich soil near the Mediterranean sea adds to their fermentation. This wine has a distinct velvety smooth finish, a fruit-forward Southern Italy staple that shines ruby red in the glass. The mild tannins give no harshness yet leave behind a satisfyingly tart taste of cranberry, plum, and oak. This bold red will go exquisitely with a juicy beef hamburger, a well-prepared steak, lamb, or your favorite pasta dish.

"This wine is so smooth and delicious. My husband, who doesn't even like wine very much, said it was fantastic. One of our favorites."
"This is a solid Sangiovese from the Puglia region, showing the deeper, friendly fruit resulting from the more southern weather than typically found in the Tuscany region. Ripe and food friendly without being too jammy or flabby."
"Fruity, hints of chocolate. Light. We generally like fuller bodied wines, but this was good and would try again."
"Great soft, juicy wine. Goes so well with Italian food."
"Really great Italian wine. Smooth. Dry."
"liven up italian dinners with this wine, it pairs so well with red gravy and pasta. it puts the finishing touch on you sausage or meatballs. it is a must at ur table."
"This is the third wine I've tried from Cala De' Poeti, and I like this one the best! Very easy to drink with a nice dry finish. It does remind me of some of the "house wines" in the many trattorias in Italy: Excellent wine they can be proud to pour. I enjoyed it but I'm not quite blown away; a good wine for the masses."
"Very nice, saw it and bought it and have purchased it several times since. Full bodied pairs well with food"
"This wine is so smooth, not heavy. It is wonderful with anything. Highly recommend."
"Every once in awhile we enjoy a Chianti and this was a nice change that did not disappoint us. Not as dry and sharp as a Chianti."
