With a dry, harmonious, and velvety mouthfeel, our 2022 Cantina di Solopaca Aglianico Beneventano boasts 50 years of Italy’s long-lived passion for winemaking. Traditionally crafted by farmers, this wine is produced from Aglianico, a juicy black grape native to Southern Italy. During winemaking, the grapes are soft pressed, and the skins are continuously submerged into the must before fermentation. The result: a balanced wine with a pleasant mouthfeel and soft tannins. With bold red fruit notes like strawberry, raspberry and a hint of spice, the semi-sweet taste interweaves with the dry tannic textures. The floral aromas and potent acidity make this wine a perfect match for hard cheeses and seafood.

"We normally drink dry reds like Chianti, but sometimes those are a bit much. This wine is like an incredibly mild Chianti. Not as spicy as some can be, not overly dry, but certainly not sweet nor flavorless. We think this would be a great "starter" wine for people who think they can't drink red wine. We liked it so much we came back and ordered 4 more bottles!"
