Travel to the sun-soaked vineyards of Tuscany with the 2023 Cala de’ Poeti Chianti DOCG. Carefully processed at the Castellani winery to create a round and fuller flavor, this central Italian wine delivers the strong tasting experience associated with Italy’s most well-known and recognized wine.

The bouquet for this dazzling red wine is intense and fruit-forward, with a delicate violet fragrance and a slight hint of cherries. On the palate, this Chianti is dry, balanced, sapid, and lightly tannic, leading into a velvety soft mouth feel. Serve this food-friendly Italian wine with spicy Arrabiata pasta, thick steaks, and grilled veal.

Established in 1903, the Castellani winery and family have made it their mission to craft traditional wines while embracing the latest innovations in winemaking. Fifth generation winemaker, Piergiorgio Castellani, oversees his family’s vineyard at their Tuscany home, noting that, “the quality of the wine begins in the vineyard”. The artistry of this vineyard can also be seen on all the picturesque labels on the Catellani’s Cala de’ Poeti line of wines. These beautiful oil painting reproductions on the label come from the artwork created at the Castellani’s artist residency, held on the same estate as their legendary vineyards.
