This expressive 2024 Bertoli Sangiovese Puglia IGT offers a bold southern Italian take on a classic grape, shaped by the region’s warm Mediterranean climate. Awarded the gold medal at the International Eastern Wine Competition, this dry and balanced wine offers a bouquet of delicate violets, strawberries, and pepper. Bursting with juicy cherry, ripe plum, and bramble fruit flavors, this medium-bodied red is blanched, sapid, and lightly tannic. Best served at cellar temperature, this dry red pairs beautifully with grilled meats, tomato-based pastas, or a classic Margherita pizza.
