Excellent Rhone White
"Reviewed before. Have not changed my mind - an excellent Rhone varietal white. If you're looking for oaky, buttery, toasty, strong vanilla finish - you are in the wrong place. If you're looking zesty citrus, crisp acidity, you are in the wrong place. However, if you want a nice, smooth mouth feel with a nice fragrant nose, some pear and perhaps peachy fruit with a subtle mineral undertone and a bit of a lingering fruit finish - that is what this is. I like Rhone whites - not every body does. but this one goes excellent with green salads with a creamy dressing like Caesar, ranch, creamy italian and with blue cheese, or roquefort or parmesan generously sprinkled over the salad. Excellent with grilled fish with light sauces, or with just brushed olive oil and dill. I will buy again, and probably again and again."
