Very much as described in
"Very much as described in the site description, a fruity red wine, reminiscent of Pinot noir or Beaujolais, but with a spicy element. Great for picnic's but really lovely with Burgers or more refined food."
2024 Von Lautinger Zweigelt
From Austria’s famed Niederösterreich region, this 2024 Zweigelt is a true expression of the grape’s homeland. Born in the Danube Valley, where cool northern winds temper warm days, the varietal flourishes with vibrant clarity and balance. In the glass, it shimmers a ruby-garnet hue, unfolding aromas of sour cherry, ripe strawberry, and a whisper of warm spice. Silky and harmonious on the palate, its subtle structure makes it as versatile as it is elegant. Pair it with Rosemary roasted duck, wild mushroom risotto, or a rustic charcuterie. Each bite is lifted by the wine’s bright fruit and gentle spice.

"On the back label, the first sentence says it’s full bodied. The next sentence says it’s mild. It can’t be both. I don’t taste most of the fruit that they describe in the label nor do I detect any cinnamon. I came in three stars because it’s average."
"Might be my me favorite. . ."
"Very light with soft tanins"
"A very smooth wine. Perfect on the palette with whatever meal you are enjoying. One of my favorites."
"I am still waiting to hear back as to why an Austrian wine was bottled in France and included a French cork"
"From the first sip, I designated this wine as a winner. I had food ready to go and guess what? Not needed. This wine is more than palatable by itself and functions well with any dish you might pair it with. A winner."
