The Villa Rosa Tinto is grown in the beautiful valleys of Portugal. These red grapes are completely de-stemmed, brought to extended skin maceration, and controlled via temperature fermentation - making this wine an elegant delicacy. Villa Rosa Tinto with a blend of 60% Baga, 20% Aragones, 10% Touriga Nacional and 10% Castelão is a smooth and elegant wine with deep tannins and a nice lingering finish. On the earthy side, the berry flavors shine through an oaky yet fresh finish. With lingering notes of fruit, this wine is an excellent companion to delicacies from Mediterranean, Indian, and African cuisine.

Very good for the value

"Light and pretty smooth"

Not great, but very good

"I love Portuguese wines. Their winemakers know how layer and blend wine-fruit splendidly. Every sip becomes like a trip though an open-air fresh market. This wine is cheaper than travel to a Portuguese village, though not as memorable. Even so, buy the wine and savor it slowly— it reflects a history of satisfying winemaking."

Great Everyday red

"This is our "go to" everyday red wine. It is very smooth and pairs well with almost everything. We have also gotten several friends "hooked" on it. . . and give away nearly as many bottles as we drink. It's not fancy enough to consider a "present". . . but we often send people home with a bottle."

Easy Drinking Red from Portugal

"Deep red color, full bodied and complex but in no way overwhelming. Very drinkable, and value priced."

A Pleasant Surprise

"I was happily surprised with the Villa Rosa red blend. Nice ruby color, the aroma is shy however. Really good to enjoy by itself or indulge yourself with nice cheeses and crackers."
