The 2020 OTU Estate Pinot Noir from Marlborough’s Awatere Valley is shaped by its wild coastal terroir, where cool Pacific breezes and gravelly soils produce bold yet elegant wines. Crafted from pristine fruit during a uniquely challenging vintage, this garnet-hued Pinot offers aromas of dark cherry, black plum, and smoky Cedar, unfolding into a silky palate of tangy red berries, spice, and fine tannins. Awarded 89 points by Wine Enthusiast, it’s a vibrant expression of New Zealand Pinot Noir — perfect alongside mushroom risotto, braised duck, or roasted pork tenderloin.

Older wine that has distinct merits

"Surprised that another review gave it 1 star - so I ordered a couple of bottles. This wine is old and almost past it's prime - HOWEVER, definitely decant it and let it breathe for half an hour or so and it is quite drinkable. Good fruit, some mushroom hints. Drink with BBQ, ribs or burgers. Used it in a marinade - worked out quite well. Nice residual sweetness."
