This semi-sparkling white is straw yellow in the glass with greenish tints, though don’t let the pale coloration fool you. Each sip of this Cinguetto Vino Bianco Frizzante bursts forward with citrus fragrance and a pleasant bite of green apple. Calming wild flowers lead to a smooth, medium finish rippled with acidity and a steely texture. Frizzante is a style of wine unique to Italy in which a second fermentation occurs in special, pressurized tanks. With about half the effervescence of a bottle of Champagne or Prosecco, the texture is smoother and calmer when compared to a full sparkler. A frizzante such as this Cinguetto is often sipped with lunch, as an afternoon aperitif, or at a long and restful dinner. This Cinguetto Vino Bianco Frizzante works a treat as an aperitif, though it’s also exceptional when served alongside roast pork, Thai chicken curry, or crab cakes.

Surprising Lovely

"I bought this just wanting to try something new, but I not sure if I would actually like it or not. It isn’t too sweet, isn’t too dry (closer to the sweet side, but not overwhelmingly so) and has a nice gentle sparkle to it. I think it may be my new 1 or 2 glass favorite."

Aj (5/5)

My favorite white!

"I love this wine! Light and refreshing, yes; Summer perfect, yes! Cook with THIS! All year long. It is the perfect non obtrusive acid to add when lemon or vinegar is too much. The flavor is delicate and drinks alone or mixed. Spritz it up with some San Pellegrino and Aperol. I buy cases of it. I used to cook with Vinho Verde, but this is tastier & I love the subtle bubbles."

All around winner

"Not too dry or sweet, not too bubbly, and lovely year round. This is a perfectly balanced wine and my go to, every day."

"Notes of stone fruits, apricot, peach. Light and moderate fizz makes for an easy drinking wine. Had it with Tuna, delicious!"
