Beaujolais as you've never experienced it. Lot 852 is a serious, age-worthy expression from the Morgon Cru — a world away from the easy, gulpable Nouveau style the region is famous for. It pours a deep, translucent ruby and immediately opens up with a beautiful, complex nose of fresh cherry and ripe raspberry laced with earthy, loamy depth and a dusting of warm spice. On the palate, medium-plus acidity and silky, perfectly integrated tannins frame a finish that is dry, elegant, and resonant with terroir.
Morgon sits on the western bank of the Saône River, where granite and blue stone soils coax out a firmer, more structured side of Gamay that rewards patience and discernment. This is the Cru Beaujolais that converts skeptics — pour a glass for anyone who thinks Beaujolais is simple, and watch the conversation change. Cellar a few bottles and revisit in two or three years, or open it now alongside roasted duck, mushroom risotto, or a rustic charcuterie board. Either way, you win.

"Very good wine. Love it."
"I am really missing the old Cameron Hughes website! This wine is delightfully food friendly yet has some character. More than I expected from what I seemed to remember from the name. I came to the website to find out more. I understand that Cam probably won’t do more videos, but is the grape blend too much effort for the new owners? From my further search, I think 852, a “Morgan”, is Gamay from Beaujolais. Beaujolais is a “celebrate the third Thursday in November but don’t expect to enjoy it” wine for me. I am enjoying 852."
"Wonderful blend of very good wines!"
"Extremely acidic and one dimensional. Not a good wine at all."
