Discover 2023 Iddu Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGT a uniquely fruity and floral red wine from the sunbaked island of Sicily, Italy.

Opening with aromas of raspberries, rose petals, and cardamom, this complex wine unfurls with lovely flavor notes of officinal herbs and white pepper. Pleasant minerality calls to the volcanic terroir in which the vines were grown. Silky smooth tannins offer an intense and engaging finish.

Thought to be one of the most crucial indigenous volcanic wines in the world, Nerello Mascalese is grown primarily on the slopes of Mount Etna on the island of Sicily. As a light-bodied red wine Nerello Mascalese possesses a character and flavor profile that can sometimes be compared to well-crafted Pinot Noir.

An incredibly easy-drinking wine, 2023 Iddu Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGT is lovely for sipping on its own or pairing with a variety of dishes. Enjoy with foods like roast pork, baked fish with tomatoes, lasagna, roasted mushrooms, and eggplant parmesan.

I bought my first Nerello

"I bought my first Nerello Mascalese in a recent order from Wine Insiders and found a new favorite. Preferring Italian wines, I found this one to be exceptional. It is similar to Pinot Noir, but smooth, filled with fruity flavor, berries and herbs and as you might expect from grapes grown in volcanic soil from Sicily, a bit tannic. Love this!"

Laura S. (5/5)

Sits in the pocket!

"Will buy again- did not seem too light in body to us, maybe medium. We opened it to just enjoy while watching a movie, so no food, but definitely think would be good with food. Was a pleasant surprise- hubs said it sits in the pocket!"
