As delicious as its preceding award-winning vintage, 2023 Terra Sara Verdejo is a fresh, versatile white wine from one of Spain’s most renowned wine regions. Dry and light to medium-bodied, this Verdejo has pleasant approachable character. Aromas of apple, citrus, and fresh herbs carry into a lively palate displaying peach, melon, and lime notes. The finish is marked by thirst-quenching acidity and a splash of tangerine. Fans of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio are sure to appreciate vibrant Verdejo, a white grape that grows almost exclusively in Spain. Grapes were nourished in Rioja, located in Northern Spain. Home to vineyard-covered hills, this region experiences a combination of cooler Atlantic influences and warmer Mediterranean influences, resulting in expressive, high-quality wines. Rioja is most known for its reds, making this white a hidden gem. This Verdejo is from Zuazo Gastó, an award-winning family winery that has been crafting artisanal wines since 1850. Their Terra Sara line represents easy-drinking wines meant to be enjoyed with a variety of foods while in the company of good friends. Best served chilled, 2023 Terra Sara Verdejo Spain is lovely sipped on its own or paired with cheese plates, fresh salad, shellfish, light fish dishes, and grilled vegetables.

Excellent verdejo

"This wine is an excellent representation of the varietal. Drink slightly chilled just enough to help the acid step up hints of Peachy fruit and a bit of citrus makes this an excellent white for seafood especially shellfish. Also excellent with grilled white fish. As a calibration - this wine varietal is a bit less crisp, a bit less citrusy slightly more creamy on the tongue compared to a sauv blanc. Glad to see it appearing in usa"

The first bottle I opened

"The first bottle I opened was undrinkable, the second only marginally better, tasting as though sherry had been mistakenly blended in."

This wine is a nice,

"This wine is a nice, easy-drinking wine that pairs very well with seafood (shellfish and sole). It offered a citrus, yet smooth finish reminiscent of a sauvignon blanc."

Not great

"Terrible. Flat no flavor. Like drinking spiked water"

Nice light white wine. Refreshing.

"Nice light white wine. Refreshing. Great for the hot summer days. I move it from the wine refrigerator (50 degrees) to the standard refrigerator (39 degrees) a day or 2 before serving. Be careful not to serve too early before a dinner or you may have to open another bottle."
