Welcome to the wild, sun-soaked coast of Tuscany. Lot 838 hails from Maremma, the rugged coastline stretching south of Livorno that has quietly become one of Italy's most exciting red wine regions — and this 2019 bottling is a stunning example of why. The nose is deep and earthy, leading with lush plum and dark blackberry before giving way to a savory undercurrent of Mediterranean herbs and forest floor that makes it unmistakably, beautifully Italian. On the palate it's full and generous, with a rustic backbone and a finish that lingers with that brooding, mineral-driven complexity.
Maremma's coastal breezes and iron-rich soils create the kind of natural tension between ripeness and structure that serious red wine lovers dream about. This is a bottle built for the dinner table — throw it alongside wild boar ragù, bistecca alla Fiorentina, or a hearty ribollita and you'll understand immediately why this coastal corner of Tuscany has become impossible to ignore. For the price, there is simply no better ambassador for what Maremma can do.

An incredible Bordeaux steal from one of the most globally recognizable appellations!
Pitch perfect Bordelaise extraction with a refined nose of blue-to-red fruit, clay dust, and cassis berries, the entry is excellently balanced with incredible weight, medium acidity, new leather, tarmac, and earth - all terroir. The finish is dry, showcasing integrated tannin, and medium+ length with further earthy terroir waves. Built to be laid down, this is equally a daily quaffer in its youth with a healthy decant.
Northwest of Bordeaux city proper, on the western bank of the river Gironde, lies a large landmass known as the Haut-Médoc. Home to the “Famous Four” Bordelaise appellations - Margaux, Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, and Saint-Julien - the Haut-Médoc enjoys warmer weather than it’s more northern neighbor, Médoc, making for riper fruit, excellent minerality, and firmer, finer, more ageable wines. The more river-situated areas of the region focus on Cabernet Sauvignon growths, while the inland areas have shifted more towards Merlot growths, ultimately dominating Cab growths in these areas today.
Lot 853 is a treasure hunter’s dream. Being Merlot dominated, the source winery declassified one of the “Famous Four” appellate house blends by punching up their Merlot in favor of a more drinkable experience (that itself can still take on quite a fair amount of aging) in its youth and opting for the greater Haut-Médoc labeling vs. their sub-appellation (which is defined by Cab-dominated blends). Rooted to gravel, clay, and limestone soils, no expense was spared in the making of this bottle including a 14-month French oak regimen, world-class winemaking team, and a source winery nod to the possibility of 20+ years of graceful aging.

From its fragrant nose to its abundant fruit flavor, this is a wine that defines “finesse.” Part of that has to do with the deft touch of the winemaker and part is owed to the acclaimed Côtes du Rhone appellation in eastern France where this wine is from. There, a primarily Mediterranean climate with abundant sunshine allows grapes to attain full maturity and full flavor. This delectable wine is delicious with grilled chicken, goat cheese, or pasta with marinara sauce.

From an iconic winery with a rich history in old vine grape production, this Lot marries Southern Rhône soul with California power.
Lot 925 is a California Red Blend modeled after the classic Rhone-style “GSM” (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) blends from southern France. A deep ruby color leads to aromas and flavors of blueberry and savory black pepper courtesy of the Syrah, while Grenache brings lifted, beautiful raspberry and red fruit notes. The Mourvèdre builds structure, along with notes of cocoa and mocha. Juicy and mouth-watering once it hits your lips, the palate is firm but smooth with extremely well-integrated tannins. If you’re entertaining friends, you will want to have at least a case of this versatile red on hand.
When we get our hands on a downright delicious Red Blend, it gets us extremely excited. After all, the art of blending is the secret behind some of the world’s greatest red wines—Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape come immediately to mind. We can’t wait for you to get your hands on this Lot 925 2021 California Rhone Blend because it fits right into that savvy red blend category, and its parts make for a more expressive, cohesive whole.
Patterned after the best southern Rhône reds, Lot 925 marries Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (the classic GSM Rhône blend!) into a ripe, juicy, complex sipper that leverages the various micro- and meso-climates across California, where each of the varieties ripens optimally (areas like Sonoma, and Contra Costa County). Not only that, but the winemaking was in impeccable hands: this Lot’s source winery is a long-time family producer that set up shop in the early 1980s and has been a leader among the “Rhone Rangers” movement in California ever since. Over the decades, they’ve racked up dozens and dozens of 90+ critic scores, along with Gold Medals and Best-In-Class awards from numerous wine competitions.

A captivating Coonawarra Cab from the same producer as Lot 834!
Pitch perfect deep ruby on the pour, the nose is the first indication of grand elegance on this wine; red cherry fruit is delineated against new soft Leather delicately wrapped in dried herb bouquets - there is a real sense of place here. The palate is much more structured than the elegant nose may let on, rich and weighted against black cherry fruit with perfectly integrated, linear tannin framed by medium+ acidity. The finish is dry and all terroir: dried herbs persist shifting against resonant waves of plum, Cassis, and vanilla along its long exit.
An incredible find from a tragic situation; the trade war between China and Australia that played out a few years back left a hefty portion of premium juice destined for mainland Asia in limbo, and who better to slide in and score you one of the deals of the decade? From a premier house's top-end program, we scored a killer price on their high-end, newly surplus Cabernet Sauvignon. Regularly reaching for just under the triple digit mark (before astronomical restaurant markups), we're very excited to offer you this Cab at $20/bottle - a massive pass of this deal's savings onto yourselves!
Lot 835, like Lot 834, has no expense spared in its production, and a water-tight NDA to match. Not much can be said except you've probably heard of the original producer (if you hang in the high-end Aussie circles) and you'll probably never get this wine in the US as it was never produced to come here (unless you know a smuggling collector or the like). Stock up (and cellar down), a deal like this comes around but once in a decade.

Cabernet Sauvignon leads the pack: bold, full-bodied, and built to age, the obvious pick for steak night. Pinot Noir sits at the other end, light and soft-tannined, easy with salmon or roast chicken. Malbec splits the difference, full-bodied but smooth enough for a weeknight burger, and it's Argentina's answer to Cabernet at a friendlier price point.
Tannin level decides most of this, how a bottle behaves with food and how long it holds up in a cellar. Pick a style, pick a dinner, done.
