This may not be the most complex wine but it certainly can hold its own and is a fine complement with lasagna and Italian food with basil , tomatoes, oregano and garlic. One of the more smooth and supple red wines I have tried with WI and I keep returning to it again and again since it is such a great value and fairly versatile. (Warning: It is smooth enough that it is easy to overindulge.) I have given it as gifts and people think I am wonderful. (I don't want to disappoint them and tell them I am not.) Definitely one of my favorites.
