    Our Abbazia Moscato Rosé Dolce is the perfect wine to enjoy poolside on a sunny day, with a spirit of celebration. With a lovely pink hue in the glass, this non-vintage rosé Moscato is a sweet and fruity sparkling wine with flavor notes of candied strawberries, peaches, apricots, bubblegum, and cherry licorice. This wine is produced by the Santero family, who own the Abbazia vineyard on the site of an old abbey in the Piedmont region of Italy. This vineyard has been in operation for several generations and is known for its sweet wines. Today, Abbazia uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure the best quality wine, including temperature-controlled fermentation both to obtain naturally-produced CO2 bubbles and to stop fermentation once the desired sweetness is reached. Our Abbazia Moscato Rosé Dolce is best enjoyed with any dessert—a homemade raspberry tart, for example. Of course, you can always enjoy this wine by itself, lounging beside a pool on a long summer’s day.

    From an iconic winery with a rich history in old vine grape production, this Lot marries Southern Rhône soul with California power.

    Lot 925 is a California Red Blend modeled after the classic Rhone-style “GSM” (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) blends from southern France. A deep ruby color leads to aromas and flavors of blueberry and savory black pepper courtesy of the Syrah, while Grenache brings lifted, beautiful raspberry and red fruit notes. The Mourvèdre builds structure, along with notes of cocoa and mocha. Juicy and mouth-watering once it hits your lips, the palate is firm but smooth with extremely well-integrated tannins. If you’re entertaining friends, you will want to have at least a case of this versatile red on hand.

    When we get our hands on a downright delicious Red Blend, it gets us extremely excited. After all, the art of blending is the secret behind some of the world’s greatest red wines—Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape come immediately to mind. We can’t wait for you to get your hands on this Lot 925 2021 California Rhone Blend because it fits right into that savvy red blend category, and its parts make for a more expressive, cohesive whole.

    Patterned after the best southern Rhône reds, Lot 925 marries Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (the classic GSM Rhône blend!) into a ripe, juicy, complex sipper that leverages the various micro- and meso-climates across California, where each of the varieties ripens optimally (areas like Sonoma, and Contra Costa County). Not only that, but the winemaking was in impeccable hands: this Lot’s source winery is a long-time family producer that set up shop in the early 1980s and has been a leader among the “Rhone Rangers” movement in California ever since. Over the decades, they’ve racked up dozens and dozens of 90+ critic scores, along with Gold Medals and Best-In-Class awards from numerous wine competitions.

    A rare, elegant white blend from an outstanding Rutherford estate.

    An elegant nose of fresh-picked lime leaf, beeswax, wet river stones, and citrus blossoms pulls you deep into the glass. An expertly weighted entry is framed by medium acidity and a terroir-driven focus of lemon and gravel. The finish is dry and refreshingly clean, with resonant beeswax and delicate lemon blossom. This is a light, silky, wine that will be perfectly suited at both the poolside and the dinner table.

    Two grapes define white Bordeaux: Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The blending of the two is a bedrock of classic French white wine technique – when done right, the body and roundness of Semillon perfectly complements the acidity and herbal notes of Sauv Blanc, resulting in an elevated wine that’s far greater than the sum of its parts. North Coast winemakers tend to throw in lots of bells and whistles for red Meritage since it’s an obvious showcase for blending skills, and that approach applies to white Meritage as well. However, white productions are much rarer.

    Lot 825 comes to us from one of the most critically acclaimed and awarded wineries in Rutherford, and given the winemaker’s previous tours of duty in both Bordeaux and Napa Valley, this Sauv Blanc/Semillon blend could not have been produced by anyone who was a more perfect fit for the job.
